Tesamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that stimulates the synthesis and release of endogenous growth hormone. It is the only GHRH analog that has been studied in clinical trials for its effects on visceral adipose tissue reduction while maintaining physiological GH pulsatility.
